Using Artists Techniques

As my title says, I used used the artist's techniques but not in the same medium.

I took a picture from my sisters two dolls. I printed two pictures out and then cut them into little triangles with a crafting knife. It was very challenging as I struggled to cut them in a straight triangle, this went well as the work was similar to the artists own work.

It looked very nice from far away but if you looked closely you could see how bad I cut the triangles. If I am going to do this next time I am going to make sure that I cut the triangles BIG enough, this could maybe make it easier for me to cut the triangles.






This is the second one that I did. I thought this was going to be easy to do but it did not turn out as easy as I thought it would. Even thought the triangle was big I still struggled on cutting the triangle in a straight line. This I thought still went well since I stuck it well. I f you look very closely I used a little triangle to cover the white that was showing through.

What im going to do differently is I would I use a ruler instead of just doing it free handed.

I did not really like this work because it looked like I rushed through it. What I would really like to do differently is use different techniques. I will be looking toward to refining this work.
